This
contract is for the 2010 Breeding Season.
|
2)
|
The
2010 breeding fee is $750. PLEASE READ
CAREFULLY:
|
|
a) For shipped semen this INCLUDES the first
shipment. Additional shipments will be
charged $200 each.
b) For Artificial
Insemination at the farm this includes collection
and processing of semen, and insemination ONLY -
additional vet bills may
apply. Mare care $15.00 / day (wet)
and $12.00 / day (dry)

2B)
|
Stallion Owner reserves the right to refuse
breeding to any mare.
|
3)
|
Shipped
Semen will be sent in a disposable container.
Mare Owner may send their own
Equitainer.
|
4)
|
All
fees must be paid prior to shipment.
All board bills and veterinary bills must be paid
in full
PRIOR TO THE MARE
LEAVING THE FARM.
No Breeder's Certificate will be
issued until all bills, on-farm and/or shipped semen, are
paid in
full***
|
5)
|
A
2 week preliminary notice is required.
A 24 hour notice is required for actual shipment.
Shipping via overnight FedEx.
|
6)
|
Shipping
via FedEx will be done on Monday - Wednesday - or
Friday: or as mutually agreed upon.
|
7)
|
A
copy of the mare's registration papers is required prior
to shipping semen.
|
8)
|
W.
Gary and/or Susan
K. Mangus, and Springledge Quarter Horse Farm, will NOT be
held responsible for lost/damaged/delayed semen; nor for
injury/harm to the mare unless due to negligence.
|
9)
|
This
contract has a Live Foal Guarantee.
This is defined as a foal that stands and nurses.
Stallion Owner must be notified within 7 days, and sent a
veterinarian certificate, if the foal does not stand and
nurse. Rebreeding
is guaranteed for the original mare or another as agreed
to by both
Breeder and Mare Owner.
Rebreeding applies to the stud fee only - semen
processing / transportation costs will be at the expense
of the Mare Owner.

10)
|
Mare
Owner agrees to sign and return the AQHA Cooled Semen
Transportation Certificate that will accompany the
shipment. One
copy is to be
returned to the Stallion Owner, as soon as Mare
Owner receives the shipment and the mare is inseminated,
one copy is to be sent to AQHA within 15
days of
insemination date, and one copy is for the Mare Owner.
Mare owner acknowledges the understanding that any
foal resulting from Shipped
Semen or A.I. must have
Parental Identification via DNA testing in order to be
registered by AQHA. Other
Breed association rules may apply.

11)
|
Should
the stallion SAINTS
GLORY die or become unfit for breeding, the Mare Owner
will be
entitled to a refund of the breeding fee, less
veterinary
/ shipped semen costs.
|
12)
|
The
Breeding Season will be from February 1, 2010
to July
31, 2010.
|
13)
|
Mare
Owner acknowledges that the Stallion Owner
STRONGLY recommends pregnancy checks via ultrasound
at 17 days, and by
palpation at 45 and
60 days. Stallion
Owner also STRONGLY recommends Rhino vaccinations
at 5 - 7 - 9 months, plus all normal
vaccinations appropriate for
the Mare Owner's locale.

|
Insurance
on the mare is STRONGLY recommended.
|
15)
|
It is the responsibility of the Mare Owner to determine
any necessary permit requirements for his / her state with
regards to shipping semen into
his / her state, and to
NOTIFY the Stallion Owner no less than 3 weeks in advance
of ordering semen.
|
16)
|
The
Stallion Owner will NOT be held
responsible for any mare not conceiving or aborting during
the pregnancy.
|
17)
|
This
contract is non-assignable and nontransferable.
|
18)
|
A
Breeder's Certificate will be issued upon birth of
resulting foal.
Should the mare be sold before foaling, a
Breeder's Certificate can be
arranged. Please contact
Stallion Owner in this case.

19)
|
All
fees in this contract are in USA funds.
|
20)
|
This
contract is an agreement between the Mare Owner and
Stallion Owner. No
other agreements, verbal or otherwise, are included unless
specifically
stated in writing.

This
contract is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of
Kentucky.
